Skin Rollering
Skin Rollering is an exciting new treatment, which has been shown to:
- Smooth Wrinkles and fill deep lines
- Improve Skin Texture
- Relax Scars
- Improve depressed Acne Scarring
- Improve the appearance of Stretch Marks
- Fill old surgical scars
Clear skincare rollers represent two years of research, design, development and patient trials by Dr Philippa McCaffery to bring an affordable skin roller to clinicians and the public. The Clear skincare Skin Rollers facilitate skin needling or collagen induction therapy (CIT) for any acne scar and all indented scars, surgical scars, borders of skin grafts, chicken pox scars, stretch marks, soften burn scars. The Clear skincare Skin Roller range is unique, they are the only rollers available worldwide to be certified as a medical device and designed to be reused, (homecare rollers last for 12 months), constructed using the finest quality stainless steel needles and autoclavable medical grade plastic roller and handle.
There are 3 types of Skin Rollers an at home Face Roller - If you really want to make a difference, you need the “Face Roller”. The “Face Roller” assists with the penetration of skin creams maximizing the effectiveness of active ingredients.
A Skin and Scalp Roller which helps stimulate the deeper layers of the skin, and can be used to improve the appearance of stretch marks and help revitalize the appearance of healthy hair.
Or a Medical Roller, which helps to stimulate the deeper layers of the skin, and can be used to improve the appearance of stretch marks, smoothes lines and wrinkles and rebuildS pitted scarring such as acne scarring, this treatment is only able to be performed in the clinic by a trained technician.
Skin Rollering is also known as Skin Needling or Collagen Induction Therapy. It has similar results to Laser, Chemical Peels and Microdermabrasion but is far less invasive, which translates to a far lower risk of complications and quick recovery time. Improvement in the appearance of scars and lines is achieved through a series of Skin Needling treatments, spaced 6 weeks apart.
How is it done?
The Skin Roller causes multiple tiny pinpoint puncture wounds to the dermis. This dermal damage induces the release of growth factors that stimulate the production of new collagen and elastin. New collagen production is the object of all skin resurfacing and rejuvenation treatments. Skin Rollering creates dermal damage without the removal of the healthy epidermis, which happens with other resurfacing techniques. Because the epidermis is left intact, the healing period is rapid. The skin does not risk permanent structural damage, sun sensitivity, skin colour loss or hyper-pigmentation.
Healing - How much time does it take to recover from Skin Rollering Treatment?
You can either be treated for severe scarring or Face Rollering that you can do yourself. The skin is red and swollen for one to two days after a medical Rollering treatment with a light grazing over the treated area appearing on day two. Most patients are able to return to work and normal activities within 48 hours of treatment. Multiple treatments are usually necessary to achieve significant improvement in the appearance and depth of lines and scars. Treatment effects are cumulative and will usually be seen within 6-8 weeks of each treatment. In comparison to prolonged recovery time from laser resurfacing and chemical peels, the short recovery following Skin Rollering makes it an excellent alternative method of improving lines and scars.
Face Roller
The Face Roller is your “Therapist at Home”.
Smoother Softer Clearer Skin will be yours when you massage your face with the Face Roller.
The face Roller helps to reduce the appearance of Fine Lines, Open pores and uneven pigmentation and restores the skins natural plumpness. We then recommend the use of their Clearskin 2% afterwards and in the morning massaging in Vitamin C Serum.
You start by rolling in one direction for a few seconds then roll in a different direction for approximately the same time. 7-10 rolls over the same area is sufficient.
The face roller head is covered with tiny stainless steel acupuncture needles. When rolled over the skin, the face roller helps the absorption of the skin creams and gently stimulates the dermal layer, the layer where collagen and elastin are produced.
The face roller can even be used around on the neck and around the eyes. With regular use the face roller delivers healthier, smoother and clearer skin.
It is recommended you use the at home roller once a day for approximately 3 minutes if treating the face and you should be perfectly normal the next day. |
